Brunei

Knowing that Brunei is a Sultanate, I'd always assumed it was somewhere in the Middle East. It's not; it's actually in the South China Sea, next to Malaysia.

Brunei's first feature film was made in 1968, then nothing until 2013. Since then their films have gone straight to streaming.
